Hello,

I am using 1.39 and am having trouble with my forum, it keeps disappearing.

Every once in a while when I open the program, it will tell me "You need to choose or create a forum".

Nothing has changed, and all my canneds are still in the same place.

Only thing that seems to fix this is redownloading the program and copying everything over.

Any suggestions?

on CanRemember's first launch you are asked to create a forum, where you will store your texts, you only have to give it a name.
If it doesn't work, maybe you don't have admin rights (Windows Vista, 7), if you store CR's files in program files folder. Try launching with admin rights (right click on canremember.exe, and choose the option to run it as admin).

When I first launch the program, I create a forum and everything works just fine. Randomly, I will go to launch the program, and it will ask me to create a forum again. My stored texts is still in the forum I created, but for some reason the program does not see it.

Where is canremember.exe located on computer ?
What is your windows version ?

I have it saved here - X:\Documents\1Malware Help\Programs\canremember

I also have a shortcut saved to the executable here - X:\Documents\1Malware Help

I am running Windows 8.1 x64

OK, I know it runs fine on Windows 7 but maybe it doesn't on Windows 8, I'll do some tests, since I don't have Win8 it will be difficult but maybe I can do something.

OK can you test compatibility mode for canremember.exe ?
XP and Windows 7 compatibility mode.

So forgot to change it to try compatibility mode but I have not run into the problem since I posted.

Not sure what changed but I hope it is fixed!
