Router on lines with weak ADSL signal

On ADSL lines with a weak signal, it occasionally happened that the ZyXEL ADSL router did not work properly. Either the router could not establish a connection at all or the connection was dropped regularly. Those problems have become more popular since the lines above ground (Freileitungen) can also be used for ADSL. From Swisscom the ADSL line was ok, because with some ADSL equipment the connection could be established.

We recently got new firmware versions from ZyXEL that will solve the problem. With this new firmware the ADSL router work on lines where they could previously not establish any connection. All those latest versions do also support UPnP and Traffic Redirect. Within the next weeks, the routers will be delivered with the new firmware.

* Mac drivers for ZyXEL Prestige 630

ZyXEL just released Mac drivers for the Prestige 630-11 and -13 (POTS & ISDN). The drivers work with Mac OS 8/9 and 10.1. Unfortunately we do not have any driver for OS 10.2 yet. As the OS 10.2 is becoming more and more popular, we can not announce that the Prestige 630 does support Mac OS generally. But for most of the Mac users we have a solution.
